Avalanche(AVAX) launches USDC

On December 14th, 2021, Circle announced native support for USD Coin (USDC) on Avalanche. Support for USDC will be available on Avalanche\u2019s C-Chain.

Because Avalanche is fully compatible with Ethereum smart contracts and developer tooling, users will be able to have quick access to high-performance decentralized apps.

Through the integration, DeFi and other applications will now have access to native USDC liquidity, eliminating the need for costly token bridges and unsupported wrapped tokens. Native USDC on Avalanche will support developers and users to build and access the Avalanche ecosystem. Furthermore, they will be able to create more seamless transaction and payment options in Avalanche's ecosystem of DeFi protocols, enterprise applications, NFT marketplaces, and more.
