KuCoin Unified Trading Account (UTA) Upgrade Announcement

We're pleased to introduce the latest enhancements to KuCoin Unified Trading, designed to provide greater capital efficiency, scalability, and performance for institutional and professional traders.

Key Upgrades

Higher Capital Limit

The maximum total capital limit has been increased to $5M for each master account and each sub-account, enabling larger trading capacity.

Up to 20 Sub-Accounts

Manage multiple strategies more efficiently with support for up to 20 sub-accounts under a single master account.

Margin Trading Support

1. Unified Trading now supports Spot Margin Trading, allowing Spot, Margin, and Futures trading within a single account.

Internal testing shows no measurable latency difference between Spot and Margin trading.

2. Additional margin risk checks introduce only tens of microseconds (μs) of processing latency, making it suitable even for latency-sensitive trading strategies.

3. Borrowing interest is charged only after a margin trading order is filled. No interest accrues while orders remain open in the order book, helping reduce financing costs for active traders and market makers. More info about interest and repayments can be checked here.
