Upgraded KuCoin OAuth 2.0 Service for Defi/Web3 Gateways and Apps

We are excited to announce a major upgrade to the KuCoin Fast API OAuth 2.0 Service. The new upgrade is designed to better support the evolving needs of trading platforms, asset management tools, payment applications, and non-custodial ecosystems.

What is the KuCoin OAuth 2.0 Service?

KuCoin Fast API Service enables brokers to seamlessly connect clients’ KuCoin accounts to their platforms through a secure and streamlined OAuth 2.0 authorization flow.

What’s New in This Upgrade?

1. Fully Upgraded Permission Customization

Users can now customize API permissions based on their actual needs during authorization, including:

• Read-only permission

• Spot Trading permission

• Margin Trading permission

• Futures Trading permission

• Earn permission

• Flexible transfers permission

• Unified account permission ( General release coming soon)

• Withdrawal permission (new)

This gives users greater transparency and control over account authorization while helping brokers support more diverse business scenarios.

2. Enhanced OAuth Withdrawal Capability

We have comprehensively upgraded the OAuth withdrawal capability to support more advanced third-party fund management and payment scenarios.

For withdrawal operations initiated via Fast API OAuth:

• Users must complete at least two security verification factors

• Enhanced authentication logic is enforced during authorization and withdrawals

This provides substantially stronger protection for users’ assets and API authorization security.

3. Exclusive Broker-Level Security Controls

The OAuth withdrawal interface is NOT publicly available. Only approved KuCoin broker partners can access this feature. Additional security protections include:

• Mandatory broker IP whitelist binding for accessing users’ API keys

• Separate IP whitelist requirements for accessing OAuth services

The upgraded Fast API OAuth service is particularly suitable for:

• Payout to KuCoin Users: Enable seamless payouts to KuCoin users by securely generating deposit addresses for efficient fund transfers. Ideal for airdrop aggregators, as well as on-chain and off-chain arbitrage solutions.

• Pay with KuCoin: Enable users to seamlessly pay with their KuCoin accounts across third-party applications and DeFi ecosystems. Suitable for payment applications, DeFi bridges, and Web3 yield gateways.

• Trading Integration: Integrate KuCoin’s trading capabilities into your platform for streamlined market access and efficient trade execution. Eligible for bot trading providers and portfolio trackers. 

• Accounting & Audit: Export users’ trading and transaction data to support accounting, auditing, and financing activities.
