Neutron(NTRN) Neutron V4 Upgrade

The Neutron v4 upgrade proposal has successfully passed

The upgrade will occur at block height 12255555, estimated on July 10th at 14:30 UTC. Network downtime is expected while validators complete the upgrade.

New:

• Slinky: an ultra-fast oracle powered by Neutron validators
• The Skip Fee Market module: enabling dynamic fees similar to EIP 1559
• New tx fee tokens

One of the big unlocks in v4 is Slinky, which allows Neutron validators to submit price data in each block. This translates to:

• Faster and more consistent oracle feeds than any other network
• Newly available application use cases
• Reduced counterparty risk for users

Neutron v4 will also integrate the Skip Fee Market module. This dynamic fee model (similar to Ethereum's EIP 1559) adjusts gas fees based on network demand, preventing spam and ensuring stability during periods of high transaction volume.
