Status launched the very first public beta preview release of Status Desktop.

It's early days; there are many bugs that we are aware of and working to fix, and some of the features needed for a non-beta release haven't yet landed. But we wanted to get Status Desktop into your hands so you can see what we've been working on and help us find any bugs we might have missed! Some things to note about this first beta pre-release: You won't be able to use the Wallet to interact with DApps yet. We are still busy building this functionality! We advise against using real funds in the Wallet at this time. It's early beta software, and bugs could lead to loss of funds. The messaging functionality consumes large amounts of bandwidth. Yes, we know, and yes, we are working on fixing this! All that said, this preview beta release marks a major milestone in our mission to deliver the ultimate open-source, decentralised, permissionless, censorship-resistant, self-sovereign super-app!
