On February 16th, 2022, Twitter announced that it has added Ethereum wallet addresses to its tipping feature. Tipping with ETH and ERC-20 tokens (including Ethereum-based stablecoins) will be supported.
Tips is a feature that allows users to add links to select third-party payment services to their Twitter profiles. When they turn on Tips on their profile, people can support them by tapping on theTipsicon to send them money or Bitcoin/Ethereum via the third-party payment services and platforms they have added.
Please note that:
- Twitter's tips feature is available in Nigeria, Ghana, and India.
- The new feature doesn't support Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain names.
