Bitget and UNICEF Expand Digital Skills Initiative With New AI and Financial Literacy Programs

      Anfänger 3m

      Key takeaways

      • UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition has reached more than 642,000 participants across eight countries since launching its digital education initiative.
      • Bitget will support the rollout of financial literacy and AI-focused curriculum modules during the partnership’s second year.
      • The coalition plans to expand into three additional countries while continuing to focus on underserved communities and girls in technology education.

Coalition shifts focus toward practical digital and financial skills

Bitget has renewed its partnership with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition (GCC), extending support for a global education initiative aimed at improving digital literacy among young people in emerging economies.

The coalition, led by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, has reached more than 642,000 young people, educators, and parents across Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa. According to UNICEF, girls currently account for 52% of total participants.

The next phase of the program will introduce new financial literacy and artificial intelligence learning modules, while blockchain-related educational content is expected to be added in 2026.

Bitget first partnered with UNICEF Luxembourg in 2025 as part of the exchange’s broader push into education and digital literacy initiatives. The company said its continued involvement will support both curriculum development and the coalition’s planned geographic expansion.

The Game Changers Coalition combines online learning, community-based workshops, and hackathons designed to help young people build practical digital skills. The initiative targets regions where younger populations are increasingly connected through mobile technology but may lack access to formal technology education programs.

During the first year of the partnership, Bitget participated in several awareness and outreach efforts tied to the coalition. One of the more visible initiatives included a visit to Cambodia by Bitget Chief Marketing Officer Ignacio Aguirre, who met with students and educators participating in local training programs focused on digital skills development.

The coalition also launched its first global UNICEF Game Jam in late 2025, bringing together young creators for a 40-day program centered on game development, mentorship, and online learning activities.

"Technology is becoming part of everyday life faster than education systems can adapt. What stood out during our work with UNICEF this year was how quickly young people engage once they are given access and opportunity. Our eventual goal is not only to introduce blockchain or digital tools, but to help build confidence and long-term digital and financial literacy that can create opportunities far beyond crypto."
      —Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget

Expansion reflects growing demand for technology education

The partnership update arrives as governments and private organizations continue investing in digital education programs to address widening skills gaps in rapidly evolving industries.

UNICEF’s Office of Innovation said the coalition is intended to help prepare younger generations for economies increasingly influenced by digital tools, AI systems, and online financial services.

"Too many young people are still locked out from the skills driving the digital transformation shaping today’s economy. GCC is a clear response to this need. The initiative brings industry, governments, and communities together so the next generation has the skills, confidence, and opportunity to lead in a technology-driven economy. Alongside Bitget we expand to reach even more young people with the skills they need."
—Thomas Davin, Global Director at UNICEF Office of Innovation

Founded in 2018, Bitget says its platform now serves more than 120 million users globally. Alongside its exchange and wallet services, the company has increasingly tied its public initiatives to education, technology access, and digital literacy programs.

      The bottom line

The expanded partnership between Bitget and UNICEF reflects a broader effort to make technology education more accessible in regions where digital adoption is accelerating. With new AI and financial literacy programs planned, the Game Changers Coalition is moving beyond basic digital access and focusing on skills that could play a growing role in future employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
