What Is RebusChain(REBUS)?

Rebus is a regulated investment platform that uses a native utility coin, $REBUS, to allow a channel of asset managers and other financial institutions to manage and sell DeFi instruments along with their Traditional (TradFi) instruments.    

Why Rebus?

Rebus, meaning affairs in Latin, can also be translated into many foreign languages as a puzzle in which letters are connected with pictures. Through Rebus, we aim to solve the puzzle of bringing traditional investment models to the crypto decentralized space.

How Does RebusChain Work?

Although Rebus will build the first set of DeFi Instruments, or products, the platform is designed for 3rd parties, our platform partners, to build on the Rebus Chain. Each channel partner will have the benefit of evaluating and vetting instruments before offering to their clients, just as they would with anything else. This eliminates the need for investors to take  unique steps just to diversify into this new digital asset class. In addition, investors can rely upon their trusted advisors to protect them from illegitimate offers that only benefit founding members.  

1. Place an order. A traditional investor orders a DeFi investment through their Asset Manager. This order is then sent to the Rebus Investment Platform.
2. Contract & Funds. The funds and contract order are sent from the investment Platform to the Rebus Vault.
3. Smart Contract Deployed. The Rebus Vault then initiates the creation and deployment of smart contracts using the Cosmos ecosystem, ICA, and IBC to facilitate contracts involving any number of coins.
4. Payout Request. Upon request or design, a contract is executed within the Cosmos Ecosystem and the resulting funds are sent to the Rebus Vault.
5. Funds Transfer. From the Rebus Vault, the funds are then transferred to the Rebus Investment Platform.
6. Payout. The funds and contract order are sent from the investment Platform to the Rebus Vault.

What Is REBUS Coin?

REBUS is the native coin of the Rebus chain and is used to pay for all the transactions / services / and fee. It is also the coin that will be distributed publicly through the public coin distribution. The Rebus chain is built using the Cosmos SDK and the Ethermint-Evmos project. REBUS will be listed on the major exchanges as well as on the project's Decentralized Exchange (DEX). The total max supply will be fixed.

Who is eligible?

Those eligible for the airdrop will be anyone who was staking $ATOM, $OSMO, $EVMOS. A snapshot for Cosmos, Osmosis and Evmos was taken on the 14th of July to confirm who was staking and how much. Also, members of the $WAX community will be eligible for the airdrop with more details to be released in the coming weeks.

Rewards will be distributed based on the day of the airdrop, with the amount of $REBUS airdropped to be disclosed closer to the drop.

How is the RebusChain's Airdrop amount calculated?

These details will be disclosed closer to the drop date. Our approach is to weigh the Airdrop based on common factors for the involved coins, such as total supply.

April/May 2021

• The problem was born.. 

May/June 2021

• Initial high-level solution was conceptualized. Conducted primary and secondary research.

July/August 2021

• The project takes off. Rebus is born. Started the technical research for the project and proposed the initial solution. Decided on the core team for the project. Worked on the initial version of the financials and investors package. Began conversations with assets managers.

1st Quarter 2022

• Define and stared the design of financial products. Started blockchain development.

November/December 2021

• Closed investment round, formed Swiss company. Finalized the coin technology architecture. Started on product design, and work with Swiss lawyers for assets managers and SRO process. Continued on the marketing partner research.

September/October 2021

• Finalized investment package, set up investment companies, commenced the creation process for the Swiss company, began receiving funds from investors and conducted research for marketing partners. Also, shifted strategies around the base platform for the coin, and began with funding.

2nd Quarter 2022

• Finished design of financial products and establish assets manager and developer partnerships.

3rd Quarter 2022

• Launched Testnet, and worked on airdrop and blockchain upgrades. Prepare for launch. Finalized partnerships contracts.

4th Quarter 2022

• Launch Mainnet, LBP, exchange listing, and SRO application. Develop NFTID and Rebus Vault

2nd Half 2023

• Stablecoin product and DropMint NFT Marketplace live.

2nd Quarter 2023

• NFT and LP financial products and DropMint NFT Creator live. Stablecoin product in development.

1st Quarter 2023

• SRO certification, staking financial product live, LP product in development. DropMint NFT drops and token gating platform live.
