PING is the first meme coin launched on x402, the internet-native payment protocol.

x402 is an open payment protocol developed by Coinbase, designed to enable instant stablecoin payments directly over HTTP, the same protocol that powers the web. It revives the previously unused HTTP 402 status code, turning it into a modern standard for digital payments. In essence, "extended 402" serves as a native payment layer for the internet. With x402, websites, APIs, and AI agents can send and receive payments instantly — without intermediaries, accounts, or complex setup.
