Binance Spot API to Increase Request Weight Limits

Fellow Binancians,

In order to improve the trading experience of spot API users, Binance Spot API will optimize the rules on the request weight limit per IP address. Effective from 2023-08-25 00:00 (UTC), the request weight limit per IP address will be increased to 6,000 per minute.

Key Updates:

• The request weight limit per IP address shared by all endpoints will be increased from 1,200 per minute to 6,000 per minute.

• Request weight of endpoints for order placement and order cancellation will remain the same; however, the request weight of the remaining endpoints will be increased by 2x.

• Effectively, this means a single IP will be able to send 5x more requests to order placement and cancellation endpoints, and 2.5x more requests to all other endpoints.

Notes:

• This is a backward compatibility optimization. Users should update their API settings to reflect the changes. Trading will not be impacted if users do not update their settings. 

• API users may complete dynamic configurations or update their settings according to /api/v3/exchangeInfo, to update the request weight limit per IP address to 6,000 per minute.

• Where any discrepancy arises between the translated versions and the original English version, the English version shall prevail.
