Binance Will Support the VIDT Datalink (VIDT) Token Swap, Redenomination & Rebranding Plan to VIDT DAO (VIDT)
Fellow Binancians,
Binance will support the VIDT Datalink (VIDT) token swap, redenomination and rebranding plan to VIDT DAO (VIDT).
Timeline:
- At 2022-10-21 03:00 (UTC), Binance will suspend VIDT/USDT, VIDT/BUSD, and VIDT/BTC isolated margin borrowing.
- At 2022-10-27 03:00 (UTC), we will close all VIDT margin positions, conduct an automatic settlement and cancel all pending VIDT margin orders. We will then delist the VIDT/USDT, VIDT/BUSD, and VIDT/BTC isolated margin trading pairs.
- A separate announcement will be made for relisting.
- Users are strongly advised to close their positions prior to the cessation of margin trading to avoid any potential losses.
- At 2022-10-27 06:00 (UTC), Binance Simple Earn will cease support for VIDT Flexible Products, and subscriptions will no longer be available.
- For existing subscriptions, VIDT balances in Simple Earn Flexible Products will be automatically redeemed and credited to users’ spot wallets before 2022-10-28 06:00 (UTC).
- Users may also choose to redeem their assets from VIDT Flexible Products anytime before 2022-10-27 06:00 (UTC).
- At 2022-10-31 03:00 (UTC), Binance will delist all existing VIDT spot trading pairs (VIDT/USDT, VIDT/BUSD, and VIDT/BTC) and cancel all pending VIDT spot trade orders. In addition, Binance will remove VIDT from the list of supported cryptocurrencies on Binance Pay.
- At 2022-10-31 03:30 (UTC), deposits and withdrawals of VIDT will be suspended. Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for your VIDT deposits to be fully processed prior to this time.
Details of Token Swap & Services Supporting VIDT DAO (VIDT):
- Binance will recover all VIDT Datalink (VIDT) balances, and begin the distribution of VIDT DAO (VIDT) to all eligible users at a ratio of 1 old VIDT = 10 new VIDT.
- At 2022-11-09 08:00 (UTC), trading will open for VIDT/USDT, VIDT/BUSD, and VIDT/BTC spot trading pairs. Binance will also add VIDT DAO (VIDT) to the list of supported cryptocurrencies on Binance Pay.
- Binance will make a separate announcement after the token swap is complete to notify users when deposits and withdrawals of VIDT DAO (VIDT) will be opened.
