Important update to Perpetual Contract funding settlement frequency

Hello Trader,

Bybit regularly reviews its products and mechanisms to maintain a stable trading environment.

Starting Feb 26, 2026, 3AM UTC, if a Perpetual Contract’s funding settlement frequency has been automatically adjusted to 1 hour, it will revert to its default interval once the following threshold is met:

If the absolute value of the funding rate remains less than or equal to 0.002% for 36 consecutive settlement periods, Bybit will restore the default settlement interval at the 37th period.

Going forward, funding rate caps and settlement frequency may be adjusted dynamically without further notice. Please refer to the contract specifications for the latest parameters.

Example

If the absolute value of a Perpetual Contract’s funding rate remains less than or equal to 0.002% each hour from Mar 1, 2026, 3AM UTC to Mar 2, 2026, 2PM UTC, the settlement frequency will revert from 1 hour to 4 hours at Mar 2, 2026, 2:04PM UTC.

The next funding settlement under the 4-hour interval will occur at Mar 2, 2026, 4PM UTC.

The updated settlement schedule will be:

Mar 2, 2026, 1PM UTC

Mar 2, 2026, 2PM UTC

Mar 2, 2026, 4PM UTC

Mar 2, 2026, 8PM UTC

Mar 3, 2026, 12AM UTC
