VoskCoin Returns to GoMining's Texas Mining Operations for a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Bitcoin Infrastructure A visit by one of Web3's most influential creators reveals how Bitcoin miners are increasingly positioning themselves as payment infrastructure and grid-balancing assets, not just block producers.
Bitcoin mining has long been viewed as a race to produce the next block. But according to a new behind-the-scenes tour released by crypto creator VoskCoin, the industry's ambitions are beginning to stretch well beyond securing the Bitcoin network.
In his latest video, Vosk visits another GoMining mining facility in Texas, where he speaks with GoMining North America CEO Jared Focose and the site's engineering team about how industrial mining operations are evolving to support energy grids, scale infrastructure, and prepare for the next phase of Bitcoin adoption.
This marks the second installment of VoskCoin's behind-the-scenes series inside GoMining's U.S. mining operations. In Part 1, he toured the company's 70-megawatt Texas facility and explored how industrial Bitcoin mining is evolving beyond simply producing blocks. Read Part 1 here.
This time, Vosk takes viewers inside a 25-megawatt facility operating around 6,800 ASIC miners, where he explores maintenance workshops, cooling systems, monitoring software, and the site's "hot zone," where thousands of mining machines exhaust hot air around the clock. The engineering team explains how GoMining monitors more than 95,000 miners across its global fleet using proprietary software capable of identifying individual machines that require maintenance in real time.
Much of the conversation focused on mining's changing relationship with the electricity grid. Focose explained that the facility regularly curtails operations during periods of peak demand, allowing it to reduce pressure on the Texas grid while benefiting from lower transmission costs.
"We act like a battery on the grid," he said, explaining how flexible power consumption has become an increasingly important part of operating modern mining facilities. He also argued that Bitcoin miners have developed a cooperative relationship with utilities, unlike many AI data centers that are placing growing demands on electricity infrastructure.
The tour also offered a look at the practical side of running an industrial mining operation. Vosk followed technicians as they replaced fans and power supplies, climbed into the facility's hot air corridor, and examined the water storage and evaporative cooling systems designed to keep thousands of mining machines operating efficiently in the Texas heat.
Beyond daily operations, Focose discussed GoMining's long-term growth plans. The company now employs more than 250 people across mining operations, engineering, software development, and infrastructure management, and is evaluating roughly 2 to 3 gigawatts of additional mining capacity across prospective sites in North America.
Rather than focusing on Bitcoin's price or mining profitability, the video highlights the engineering behind large-scale mining, from airflow management and power infrastructure to grid participation and long-term expansion. It offers viewers another rare look inside an industry that is typically closed to the public and underscores how industrial Bitcoin miners are increasingly positioning themselves as long-term infrastructure companies rather than simply producers of new Bitcoin.
