• Deposits and withdrawals are now open for SYS.

What is Syscoin (SYS)?

Syscoin is a platform is made up of its main blockchain and an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) layer. The EVM layer is known as Network-Enhanced Virtual Machine (NEVM) and provides smart contract functionality. Syscoin describes itself as the "only layer-1 blockchain that scales with EVM functionality." Users can build scalable Web3 decentralized applications (DApps) with virtually zero fees on Syscoin. It was launched  in 2014 by the founders of Blockchain Foundry, who are still Syscoin's core developers to this day. 

SYS is the native token of the Syscoin platform. SYS is primarily used for paying transaction fees within the Syscoin network.
