Bitfinex Supports the Cardano Vasil hard fork

We are pleased to announce that Bitfinex has been supporting the Cardano (ADA) “Vasil” hard fork, the new update to scale and optimise the Cardano blockchain.

According to Cardano, the Vasil hard fork expands the capabilities of the Cardano blockchain, including increasing decentralisation, enhancing the handling of on-chain scripts, reducing script execution costs, transaction size and improving throughput. The new features will become available on 27 September 2022. 

Cardano (ADA) trading, deposits and withdrawals on Bitfinex will be unaffected as the new features become available.
