Gate.io Supports Upcoming Symbol (XYM) Upgrade
According to the Symbol team, Symbol's Cyprus hard fork will take place at block# 689,761 , estimated at 15:00 UTC on 11 November 2021.
Gate.io supports this upgrade and will suspend XYM deposits and withdrawals during the process. Deposits and withdrawals will be resumed as soon as possible after this upgrade. XYM trading will not be affected.

The Cyprus hardfork introduced in v1.0.3.0, will burn all of the funds currently under control of the Trust and the NxL entities, including post opt-in reserved funds. In addition, it will re-mint all of the funds into a new 4-of-7 multisig with four cosigners from Valkyrie and three Symbol core team members.
