Gate.io Will Adjust API Rate Limits

To provide a more stable and smooth trading experience for API users, Gate.io is going to adjust the API rate limits for APIV4 endpoints starting July 10, 2023. The adjustment may have an impact on existing API uses for users of the VIP 10 or below. If you are an affected user, please adjust your trading strategy beforehand. If you have any questions or demand a higher rate limit for certain endpoints, please contact our institutional support.

For public endpoints:
Rate limits are applied based on IP.


For private endpoints:
Rate limits are applied based on user (UID)
