Gate.io will support the renaming of Base Protocol (BASE) to Base Protocol (BASEPTL) and plans to implement the renaming process on August 15, 2023, 06:00 A.M. UTC. At that time, Gate.io will take the deposit, withdrawal and trading services for Base Protocol (BASE) offline, including spot trading and quantitative trading. After the renaming is completed, Base Protocol will be relisted with the new token symbol BASEPTL.

Details:

1. Gate.io has closed the deposit and withdrawal services for Base Protocol (BASE).
2. Gate.io will suspend the Base Protocol (BASE) trading market, including spot trading and quantitative trading, on August 15, 2023, 06:00 A.M. UTC.
3. Users who have in-progress BASE quantitative trading should adjust your trading plans beforehand. Otherwise, the plans will be terminated automatically by August 15, 2023, 06:00 A.M. UTC.

The renaming does not involve any blockchain migration process. Gate.io users don’t need to do anything in particular. If you wish to have your Base Protocol (BASE) renamed on Gate.io, please deposit Base Protocol (BASE) to Gate.io.
