Gate.io Latest Announcement on API Rate Limit Adjustments

Dear Gate.io Users,In order to provide a more stable and seamless trading experience, we will be making adjustments to the rate limit rules for the Gate.io APIv4 API endpoints, effective from January 22, 2024. This adjustment will primarily impact users with VIP levels 11 and above. Below are the specific details of the adjustments and their implications:

I.Purpose of the Adjustment

The purpose of this rate limit adjustment is not to decrease the rate limits but to simplify the rules for better understanding and facilitate the reasonable use of rate limits. The previous rate limiting rules were complex, involving dimensions such as IP, API Key, and UID. Additionally, the rate limits for public and private APIs were shared. This update focuses on simplifying these rules by:1.Implementing rate limiting primarily at the UID level, except for public API.2.Establishing independent rate limits for each API to avoid coupling.

1.Spot Trading
