Announcement of KuCoin API Upgrade (2026-05-15)

To further enhance the performance of KuCoin PRO-API, KuCoin will conduct a non-disruptive upgrade at 07:00 (UTC) on May 15, 2026. Theupgrade is expected to last 180 minutes.

During the upgrade period, users may experience the following impacts:

The PRO WebSocket may experience temporary disconnections, data loss, or delays. Users may reconnect to the WebSocket to restore the connection.
A small number of PRO API requests may experience temporary issues during this period, which are expected to recover within 5 seconds.
Public market data APIs may experience temporary data loss, inaccurate data, or delays. The affected endpoints include:

In addition, KuCoin will launch an Automatic Load Balancing to further improve API service stability and latency performance.

The system will dynamically balance traffic and allocate resources based on the real-time load conditions of each shard, helping users achieve more stable connections and improved latency performance.

During future load balancing switches, some WebSocket connections may be temporarily disconnected by the server. These switches are expected to occur at most once or twice per week. Users may reconnect to restore normal connectivity.

In case of significant market volatility prior to the scheduled time, the upgrade may be postponed, and a separate announcement will be made accordingly.
