Announcement of KuCoin API Upgrade (2026-08-12)

To further enhance the performance of KuCoin UTA-API, KuCoin will conduct non-disruptive upgrades at 12:00 (UTC) on August 12, 2026, upgrade is expected to last 120 minutes.

During the upgrade periods, the UTA WebSocket may experience temporary disconnections, data loss, or delays.

If any of the above issues occur, users may reconnect to the WebSocket to restore the connection.

After the upgrade, the following updates will be introduced:

[Modify] UTA REST Get Trade History When response param fillType is 'ADL', the liquidityRole will be empty instead of MAKER

[Modify] UTA REST Get Position List (UTA) added response field

updateTime: the latest time when the position is updated (including the leverage change and the size change for position)

[Modify] Classic REST Add sub-account API & Classic REST Modify sub-account API

When the permissions include Transfer (Withdraw), ipWhitelist is required. Otherwise, ipWhitelist is optional.
