Key Upgrade Highlights

1. Expanded UTA Access

UTA entry requirements have been lowered.

• Old rule: UTA available only for VIP 2 and higher‑tier users
• New rule: All users with VIP 1 status or above may enable UTA

2. Removal of Asset‑Limit Caps

All asset‑transfer restrictions for UTA have been lifted. Users may transfer assets of any value into their Unified Trading Account for management according to individual trading needs.

• Old rule: Maximum account asset cap of USD 5 million
• New rule: No asset‑size limitations

3. Increased Supported Sub‑Account Quantity

To accommodate multi‑account workflows for professional traders and institutional clients, the maximum number of upgradable sub‑accounts under UTA has been raised, supporting strategy isolation, capital allocation and team collaboration.

• Old rule: Up to 20 sub‑accounts
• New rule: Up to 50 sub‑accounts

4. Isolated Margin Mode Now Supported for UTA Futures

UTA now supports isolated‑margin futures trading. Under isolated‑margin mode, margin and risk are calculated independently for each position. 5. Optimised Tiered Liquidation Mechanism for Cross‑Margin Mode

To strengthen risk‑handling performance during extreme market conditions, KuCoin has refined the liquidation workflow for UTA cross‑margin mode by implementing a granular tiered‑liquidation framework based on the risk limit tier.

• If positions fall under Risk Limit Tier 2 or higher, the system will first conduct risk assessment and simulation calculations.
• If partial position liquidation via the order book can restore the account to safe risk levels, partial liquidation will be executed to mitigate account risk.
• If all positions sit within Risk Limit Tier 1 and the account risk‑ratio reaches or exceeds 100 %, positions will be taken over by the liquidation engine for risk resolution.
