OKX Wallet has supported risky transaction interception

Dear OKX users,

To further enhance the security of Web3 Wallets, OKX Wallet has upgraded its high-risk transaction interception strategy. The high-risk transactions that can be intercepted include:

• Malicious authorization to Externally Owned Accounts (EOA): Typically, Dapps authorization is given to contract accounts, not EOAs.

• Malicious change of account ownership. Once signed, you lose control of your account. This usually happens on public chains with underlying account owner designs such as TRON and Solana.

• Malicious change of your transfer address. A few DApp contracts are poorly designed, but OKX wallet can identify risks.

• Interception of transfers to similar addresses. This may occur when an attacker generates an address similar to one you have recently used (address prefix and suffix are the same), potentially creating fake records such as USDT transfers to you, increasing the likelihood of copying it as a hacker address in your transaction history.

Please proceed cautiously if you encounter these risk interceptions when trading on the chain. You can refer to more risk examples here.

We highly recommend upgrading your OKX wallet to the latest version immediately to ensure you receive these alerts, and we encourage you to enable automatic updates for both the mobile apps and browser extension wallet.
