About Evertas - Series A
Evertas, the cryptocurrency insurance firm that was recognized by Lloyd's of London in early 2020, has raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Polychain Capital. This brings the company's total outside investment to $19.8 million, which includes a $5.8 million seed funding it secured in 2019. This notable influx of capital testifies to the need for assurances in the volatile and unpredictable digital asset space.
Also included in the Series A round were: SinoGlobal Capital, CMT Digital Ventures, Foundation Capital, Morgan Creek, Bloccelerate, network0, Matrixport, and HashKey. Individual investors include Balaji Srinivasan, Andrew Keys, Colleen Sullivan, Patrick McDonald and David Roebuck.

Evertas was born from a shared desire: to create insurance for this new risk, based on timeless standards and principles. As a leader in early blockchain organizations, and the first full-time blockchain hire at the world’s largest custodian bank, J. Gdanski understood the technology and the institutional environment like few others. With experience at McKinsey and running consulting and insurance businesses, Raymond's instincts drew him to blockchain.
