      What Is Mining?

Mining is the process of creating a block of transactions to be added to the blockchain, it requires a lot of computer processing power and time. Miners create new cryptocurrency through this process and earn rewards by completing a PoW task.

      What Is Ethereum Mining?

Mining Ethereum not only increasing the volume of Ether in circulation, but also securing the Ethereum network. Ethereum currently uses a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism, the miners will find a block every 12-15 seconds, they earn these Ether by mining block.

      Types of Ethereum Mining

There are several different ways to mine Ethereum depending on the type of processes and hardware used.

      • CPU Mining: CPU mining uses the miner's central processing unit to mine Ethereum, but it's a slow process to go on for several months.
      • GPU Mining: This may be the popular way to mine cryptocurrency. Miners use one or several graphics units to mine Ethereum. A standard Ethereum mining consists of a motherboard, a processor, and a rig frame that houses the graphics cards, it's relatively cheap and efficient.
      • ASIC Mining: ASIC mining is specific devices that perform crypto mining. Due to its higher computational/processing power, ASIC mining produces more Ether.
      • Cloud mining: Same as pool mining, Cloud mining is one of the best ways to mine Ethereum. Cloud mining is provided by the company, which has large mining facilities consisting of several mining rigs, the miners pay the company to rent out their mining rigs.
      • Pool mining: A group of cryptocurrency miners combines their computational resources into a mining pool, they work together to mine Ethereum, earn a reward for finding a block. The reward will be distributed in proportion to the hash rate of every participant.

      How to Mine Ethereum?

Above all mining types, Pool mining is the preferred way of making more money while mining Ethereum. Before beginning the pool mining, you must install all graphics card drivers.

      • Step 1: Select a mining pool. Join a mining pool to lowers the cost of running mining rigs and improve the chance to find a block.
      • Step 2: Create a cryptocurrency wallet. Create a crypto wallet to store your Ether, you can choose a software or hardware wallet.
      • Step 3: Select mining software.
      • Step 4: Create BAT file.
      • Step 5: Start the mining process.
