Travel Smart This Golden Week: Ledger Offers Bitcoin Rewards
Both China and Japan are approaching their Golden Week holidays, a period in which several national holidays take place close together. In both countries, Golden Week is associated with a major rise in travel, as many people use the break to take trips, go on vacation, or spend time with family and friends.
To mark the occasion and remind users to protect their crypto while traveling, Ledger, a leading crypto hardware wallet maker, is running a Golden Week promotion. The campaign gives customers bonus BTC and additional perks when they purchase selected Ledger hardware wallets.
Here’s a quick look at the rewards:
- Ledger Stax: $80 worth of Bitcoin + Ledger Recovery Key + Magnet Shell
- Ledger Flex: $70 worth of Bitcoin + Ledger Recovery Key
- Ledger Nano Gen 5: $30 worth of Bitcoin + Ledger Recovery Key
- Ledger Nano X: $20 worth of Bitcoin

*The Ledger Golden Week promo runs until May 3, 2026.
The Bitcoin bonus comes with the hardware wallet in the form of a physical voucher. The voucher includes a code that can be redeemed for BTC through the Ledger Wallet app.
The Ledger Recovery Key is an NFC-enabled card that lets users create a PIN-protected backup of their recovery phrase. This provides a secure and convenient way to restore access when needed.
Ledger Wallet 4.0 introduces a stronger focus on mobile users
Ledger recently released version 4.0 of its flagship Ledger Wallet software. The update brings a redesigned user interface that makes the app more convenient and intuitive for users who manage crypto while on the move.
Core features such as sending and receiving crypto, buying and selling, and swapping assets are now accessible directly from the app’s homepage. The crypto staking onboarding flow has also been streamlined, while Ledger-compatible crypto payment card management is now easier to access.
Ledger Wallet 4.0 also adds integrations with decentralized finance protocols such as Jupiter, Uniswap, 1inch, and NEAR Intents.
With these integrations, users can compare multiple quotes for the token swap they want to make and select the option that offers the best value. We tested the NEAR Intents integration by swapping ETH for BTC and found the process to be fast, smooth, and efficient.
Another useful addition is gas sponsoring, which is provided through BlinkLabs. This feature allows users to pay for transactions even if they do not hold the native token of the blockchain they are using. For instance, someone can complete a swap on BNB Chain even if they do not have any BNB in their wallet.
A quick look at Ledger’s hardware wallet lineup
Ledger Wallet is built to work smoothly with all of Ledger’s hardware devices. For users who are unsure which Ledger wallet is the right choice, here’s a simple overview of the lineup:
Ledger Stax

Ledger Stax is the company’s most premium hardware wallet. It offers the largest display of any Ledger device and features a refined design created by Tony Fadell, the designer behind the iPod. Its E Ink touchscreen interface delivers a much more polished experience than traditional hardware wallet designs, which can be especially useful for users who interact with their device frequently.
We recommend Ledger Stax for users who are willing to pay more for Ledger’s most refined and premium experience.
Ledger Flex

Ledger Flex can be seen as a smaller sibling to the Stax. It provides a very similar E Ink touchscreen experience, but in a more compact form factor and at a more affordable price.
Ledger Nano Gen 5

Ledger Nano Gen 5 is Ledger’s most budget-friendly touchscreen hardware wallet. It uses an all-plastic build, but still includes the key features that matter most, such as an EAL 6+ Secure Element and wireless connectivity through NFC and Bluetooth. For users who want the convenience of a touchscreen but are not concerned about premium materials, the Nano Gen 5 is an excellent choice.
Ledger Nano X

Ledger Nano X follows Ledger’s classic hardware wallet design with a button-based interface, but improves on it with wireless connectivity, expanded storage, and a larger screen for better readability. Users who want Bluetooth support but consider Ledger’s touchscreen wallets too expensive will likely find the Nano X to be the best fit.
Ledger Nano S Plus

Ledger Nano S Plus is the follow-up to the iconic Ledger Nano S and is currently one of the strongest hardware wallets available in terms of value for money. It delivers high-level security at a very approachable price. However, users should note that it does not support wireless connectivity and is not compatible with iOS.
