BigONE Will Support the Ontology (ONT) Network Upgrade & Hard Fork

Dear BigONE users,

BigONE will suspend deposit and withdrawal services for the Ontology (ONT) network on 1 December 2025 at 15:00 (GMT 8), in order to support its upcoming network upgrade and hard fork.

The Ontology (ONT) network upgrade and hard fork are scheduled to take place on 1 December 2025 (GMT 8).

Please take note of the key tokenomics changes following this event:

The Ontology network adopts a dual-token model consisting of Ontology (ONT) and Ontology Gas (ONG). More details are available here.

• The maximum and total supply of Ontology Gas (ONG) will decrease from 1 billion to 800 million, with 200 million tokens burned immediately.

• The circulating supply of ONG will remain unchanged immediately after the event. However, it may decrease to around 750 million over time due to the permanent lock mechanism.

Reminders:
1. The trading of token(s) on the aforementioned network will not be impacted.
2. BigONE will handle all technical requirements involved for all users.
3. Deposits and withdrawals for token(s) on the aforementioned network will be resume once the upgraded network(s) is(are) deemed to be stable. No further announcement will be posted.
