Bitfinex supports Toncoin (TON) Renaming to Gram (GRAM)

We’re pleased to announce that Bitfinex is supporting the renaming of Toncoin (TON), the native token of The Open Network, to Gram (GRAM) in line with the TON token community vote.

The changes are expected to take place on Monday, 15th June 2026, at approximately 12:00 PM UTC.

Key Details:

• Token Ticker: The UI Ticker will change from TON to GRAM. API Ticker will remain TON. To ensure a smooth transition, the UI will display the token name as Gram (prev. Toncoin) for the first three months. 

• Bitfinex Derivatives* Perpetual Contract: The UI display for the perpetual contract on the Bitfinex Derivatives platform will change from TON-PERP to GRAM-PERP. API Ticker will remain TONF0:USDTF0.
  
  
• Balance: All existing customer balances will be automatically renamed from TON to GRAM. No swap or action is required. 
  
  
• The token contract, trading, deposits and withdrawals, supported network will remain unaffected.

There is no action for Bitfinex customers.
