Gate Group's Gibraltar Entity Receives DLT Provider Permission from the GFSC

Hippo Capital Co Limited, Gate Group's Gibraltar entity, has been granted permission by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) to operate as a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Provider. As a result, it can now provide broker/dealer services and virtual asset custody services, and begin introducing secure and professional virtual asset services customized for consumers in the region.

Hippo Capital met all ten regulatory principles outlined in the GFSC’s DLT framework. The framework covers AML/CFT/CPF, risk management, honest and fair practices, customer care, and other guidelines that protect consumers and businesses.

The authorization has enabled Gate’s Gibraltar entity to offer compliant virtual asset services to residents and businesses in Gibraltar, tailored to the needs of consumers, professionals, and institutional clients. The firm is committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of the GFSC to ensure clients receive honest, secure, and trustworthy virtual asset services.
