Description of the Auto-earn Product

OKX Auto-earn is a value-added service that allows you to have their crypto automatically deposited into the OKX Simple Earn Flexible Program. You will earn market-based interest on an hourly basis, and may withdraw their assets from Auto-earn at any time. The entire process is secured by our reliable risk management system so that you can earn profits while their assets are protected.

Use of assets

Crypto assets from Auto-earn you will be loaned to margin traders. Our Auto-earn service only supports listed crypto that can be used for margin trading.

Subscription and redemption

Enrollment
By enrolling in Auto-earn, you are agreeing that all of the assets in your Funding account will be placed in Earn offers when offers become available for the particular assets that the you hold. Upon enrollment, OKX will move assets from a user's Funding account into Earn offers when they become available, if the asset has not had any activity in the past 6 hours. Assets in Trading accounts and Margin assets do not qualify for Auto-earn.

Example: you buy BTC > your 6-hour timer starts > then you convert BTC 2 hours later > your 6-hour timer starts over.

Following enrollment, the crypto held in your Funding account will be placed in an Earn offer when an offer becomes available. Even if no offer is available, all crypto will remain in the Earn program until a user unenrolls.
Redemption
You can redeem their crypto at any time. You'll receive the redeemed crypto immediately. Redeemed crypto won't participate in the next round of Auto-earn or generate interest for you until the 6-hour timer of inactivity of that asset has passed.
Unenrollment
You can unenroll from Auto-earn through the Portfolio or Earnings page under Earn tab. Once you unenroll from Auto-earn, assets won't automatically participate in any additional rounds of interest generation. You can always choose to re-enroll in Auto-earn from the Portfolio page or My Earnings page.

Rules for deposit limits

The table below shows the deposit limits in the Auto-earn program for different crypto. Master accounts and sub-accounts share the deposit limit. There is no redemption limit. OKX reserves the right to adjust the deposit and redemption limits based on the latest market developments and risks.

Interest rate setting and interest distribution

Interest rate setting
OKX sets APY based on borrowing demand every hour. By enabling Auto-earn, we will automatically match the user with the current market APY.
The loan may be partially given out or not given out at all. Loans are approved based on a first-offered-first-approved basis.
Interest calculation and distribution
For you whose lending offers are successfully matched on the hour T, the hourly interest for the corresponding loan amount from T to T 1 will be distributed on the hour T 1.
15% of the interest will be deposited to the borrower's account as a margin loan and 85% will be distributed to Auto earn you as APY. Actual interest = Actual loan amount*Current APY/365/24*85%.
Source and use of margin
15% of the interest paid by margin traders will be deposited as margin to cover potential losses. OKX reserves the right to use the 15% interest for other purposes.
In the event that the margin cannot cover potential losses, a maximum of 50% of Auto-earn you' daily interest will be appropriated to cover the outstanding loss so as to ensure you receive interest every day. The rest of the outstanding loss will be temporarily covered by the platform and this amount will be gradually deducted from margin and daily interest in the future.
Minimum balance requirement for interest generation
- Crypto price ≥ 1,000 USDT: Balance of 0.0001 of token required
- 100 USDT≤ Crypto price < 1,000 USDT: 0.001
- 10 USDT≤ Crypto price < 100 USDT: 0.01
- 1 USDT≤ Crypto price < 10 USDT: 0.1
